Frequently Asked Questions

How does a token launch work?

Creators can start a raise by configuring the following parameters:

  • Launch duration – How long the raise will run for
  • Launch goal – Minimum SOL required for a token to bond
  • Hard cap – Maximum total SOL raise. If reached before the timer ends, the raise closes and will bond to Meteora
  • Maximum contribution per address – Configurable limit to aid fair distributions

All contributors enter at the same price

What is the token supply and distribution?

All tokens will have a 1 billion total supply, distributed as follows:

75%
Claimed by contributors
25%
Added to liquidity

How is liquidity managed?

SOL raised will be converted to $lanternSOL, Lantern's Liquid Staking Token (LST), automatically at the end of a successful raise and paired with the token to create the LP pool.

This allows liquidity pools to also earn from Solana MEV and inflation.

Key points:

  • Liquidity pools are permanently locked on Meteora
  • Creators can claim all swap fees

What happens if a raise is unsuccessful?

If a raise doesn't meet the goal by the end of the timer, all contributors will be able to reclaim their deposits.
